    Just as our playoff hopes hinged on Finley last year, this year St. Louis' playoff hopes hinge on Finley. St. Louis is down 0-2 to San Fran, and if they lose game three, the series is probably over.

    Well, a typical Chuck Finley performance. Dodging trouble almost every inning, barely making it to the fifth inning, only to end up giving up a three run homer to Barry Bonds to tie the score at 4.

    However, Chuck's performance was gritty enough to allow St. Louis to build a lead first. Better a pitcher give up 3 runs in the fifth inning than in the first inning.
